Who you are buying from

Everything sold here is sold by NIRORN, Cambodia. Ngam Ngov is a salt-cured lime: whole fruit, salted and matured for months. It is food, and it is made in batches — two jars from different batches are not identical, which is the point of it.

Prices

• Prices are in US dollars. Any figure shown in riel is a conversion for reading convenience, not a second price.
• Where the house is registered for VAT, the tax contained in the total is printed on the invoice. Nothing is added to a displayed price at checkout except delivery.
• Delivery is quoted before you pay, never after.

An order, and when it is real

Placing an order is an offer to buy. It becomes a sale when the payment provider — ABA PayWay or Stripe — confirms the payment to us. No screen in the shop declares an order paid before that answer arrives, so if you see a confirmation, the money moved.

If we cannot fulfil an order — the batch is short, or the address is somewhere we cannot ship food to — we will tell you and refund it in full.

Delivery

Times depend on where you are and, for export, on the paperwork the destination asks for. A preserved food crossing a border is subject to that country's import rules, and those are the buyer's to satisfy.

If something is wrong with it

Tell us. A jar that arrives broken, leaking, or not what you ordered is replaced or refunded — send us a photograph and the batch code from the label and we will not argue about it.

Because this is food, we cannot take back a jar that has been opened and is simply not to your taste. Salt-cured lime is a strong ingredient; if you are unsure, buy the small jar first.

Trade and wholesale

Trade accounts buy on agreed price lists and agreed payment terms, which are set out in the account itself and take precedence over this page where the two differ.

Your account

Keep your email account secure — anyone who can read your email can request a sign-in code. Tell us if you think someone else has been in your account, and we will end its sessions.

What we publish

Recipes, photographs and journal writing on this site are the house's own work. Cook from them, cite them, teach from them. Do not republish them as your own.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Nothing here removes a right the law gives you as a consumer.
